It was just a matter of time. Facebook has risen to the top of the social media sites for personal use and now businesses and brands of all sizes are getting serious about Facebook as a viable business advertising and content delivery medium. For anyone looking for help in social media, or wanting to learn about social media business marketing techniques, the Facebook Success Summit 2010 has arrived.

Promoted by an excellent online social media magazine, aptly named the Social Media Examiner, the Facebook Success Summit 2010 is a live online conference designed to help business owners master the business of Facebook marketing. There will be seminars from the industry’s leading Facebook pros including Brian Solis (author, Engage!), Mari Smith (co-author, Facebook Marketing: An Hour a Day), Justin Smith (Inside Facebook), Jesse Stay (author, FBML Essentials), Paul Dunay (author, Facebook Marketing for Dummies); experts from Intel, Microsoft Xbox, Cisco, the Washington Redskins and SAP; Darren Rowse (Author, Problogger), Jay Baer (Co-author, The Now Revolution), and Michael Stelzner (Social Media Examiner.)

The program runs from October 5 to October 23 online. The conference promises best practices and techniques to market your business with Facebook and tips on build an engaging Facebook presence. According to the conference promotion, “most social media marketers are aged 30 to 60 and have only been using social media for just a few months. Not the kids n geeks we normally associates with online communities.

The entire agenda is packed with useful and real world leaning applications for the Facebook. Some of the seminars that captured my interest in social media marketing were: How to Build and Manage a Loyal Facebook Fan Base, How Big B2B Businesses Are Leveraging the Power of Facebook and Leveraging the Power of Facebook Advertising.

Admittedly, you should have some knowledge or practical experience with social media before attending this online program. However if you are a small business owner, corporate marketing professional responsible for the Facebook initiative or an experienced social media marketer the conference educators promise to spill beans on “pro-level” proven tactics and leveraging new techniques on Facebook success.
